The Competition Topic  :  “Portrait”

We are back with another painting contest for you to make your art travel the world, get recognized by eminent jury and win cash prizes up to $2500. Tell us what “Portrait” means to you in the form of a painting.

 

Painting Medium : Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, Others, (no digital artwork).

Surface :  Paper, Canvas, Other .

Size :Open to all sizes.

Registration Process : The participant has to upload the image of their painting(s) through an online process. There is no need to send the original painting physically for participation.

Who can participate? :Anybody who would love to share their art to the world.

Registration Fees: To ensure serious participation the participant has to pay a nominal registration fee.

How to pay registration fees? : The participant can pay through PayPal & PayUMoney

His portrait paintings mainly consist of old man series and the facial expressions in the paintings are so beautiful.

She mainly works in oil and acrylic medium and has been invited Leader of the Australian Watercolor Delegation to FabrianoInAcquarello – Italy, with her watercolour work showcased as part of the juried Finalists selected to showcase their work in Italy 2018-19 with Artists from over 80 Countries.

Art Consultant and Independent Art Researcher.
She is holds an MBA and an M.A in History of Art from National Museum Institute, New Delhi. She has been trained in Art Appreciation from MOMA, New York and Art Market from Sotheby’s Institute London. She has curated exhibitions for NIV Art Center, Indira Gandhi National Center for Arts( IGNCA) and Museum of Folk Art. Her organisation, The Art Route™ has been promoting young and upcoming artists through exhibitions and design projects. In January 2020 Lubna organised and co-curated “Confluence -Celebrating India Bangladesh Printmaking” held in India Habitat Centre ( IHC ), with senior artists of India and Bangladesh. On Day 1 of National Lockdown, 25 th March, 2020, Lubna  initiated an online art project, “The Spirit Remains Unlocked”, which is promoted exclusively through the social media and will culminate into an Online Virtual Exhibition in June, 2020.

FAQ

Can I submit more than one painting?

Absolutely. You can upload more than one painting at the time of registration.

Can I submit digital artwork ?

No. You can submit only hand made paintings. 

What are the various payment methods?

For payments within India, we have tied up with PayUMoney which allows transactions through Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI and various wallets like Paytm , Phonepay / Bhim UPI , FreeCharge , OLA Money , Airtel Money , Oxigen Wallet , Jio Money , HDFC Banks  – PayZapp , PAYCASH CARD , YES PAY Wallet. 

For International payments, we have tied up with Paypal. Paypal allows you to use International Credit Card, Debit card or paypal account. 

How will I get notified about the results?

All winners will be notified individually via email. The winners will be announced on our website and on all social media pages of Jumbish. 

Can I submit someone else's painting?

NO. You must submit paintings which are done by you and only you. Any claims of copyright would disqualify your painting from the contest.

Can i upload different paintings using different medium?

Yes, you can upload different paintings using different medium. Digital painting not allowed.

Will I be able to participate in other competitions using the same painting?

All winners will be notified individually via email. The winners will be announced on our website and on all social media pages of Jumbish. 

Do I have to send the physical painting(s) to Jumbish?

There’s absolutely no need of that! Just upload a picture of high resolution and be done with the registration process.

Should I pay for enrollment and submission both?

No you have to pay only during the submission of the entry and not for enrolling. The cost of submission for students is INR 700 +18% GST/- per painting and for artists is INR 1050 + 18% GST/- per painting.

Can I pay in cash?

Sure. For that, you have to visit our office in Viman Nagar, Pune, Maharashtra, India. 

Is this contest only for paintings on Portrait?

Yes. only portrait painting is required as per the competition theme.

How can I withdraw/cancel my registration?

Once registered, you can send a request to contactus@jumbish.in if you wish to withdraw from the competition and we will not share it with the Jury members for assessment. 

There shall be NO refund of the registration amount. 

Is there any size constraint for file submission?

10 MB file size would be acceptable digitally to upload. There is no constraint on painting dimension (Length and Height)

can I submit already sold work?

Yes, you can submit work you have already sold as long as you have retained the rights to publish your works on various social media and electronic platforms.

What type of portraits are acceptable in the contest?

Only human portrait are acceptable for the contest.

What is the age limit to participate in the student category?

Any college and school in which you are enrolled as the student will work to participate in student category.
